Stars Fall Continues to Get Great Reader Reviews

Stars Fall, my legal thriller, continues to get great reader reviews on Amazon. Here's the latest:

I was greatly impressed and greatly entertained. The writing is tight, and it doesn't try for gimmicks the way so much writing does. The characters are believable, and the author resisted giving them eccentricities that authors somehow think is necessary for great stories but which usually annoy me. Dialogue is another area in which so many writers fail, but the characters' speech was believable and natural. Steve Terrell shows remarkable discipline as a writer. It's a great book, and I look forward to the next one from him.

What it is -- is Football

Football is upon us.  I have three Fantasy Football drafts in three days. Time to get caught up.  Let's see . . .

Payton Manning is a Bronco.

Baby bro Eli has more Super Bowl rings than Payton & Archie combined - and is still the 3d most talked-about QB in New York.

Chad Ochocinco now Chad Johnson (again). The season hasn't started and already he has one arrest, one divorce, one reality series cancelled, one sponsor dropped, but no football team after he was cut by the Dolphins.

Notre Dame opens its college football season by playing Navy -- in Ireland.

This season, the Colts are relying solely on Luck.

In this presidential election year, the most talked about person in Washington D.C. isn't a Republican or Democrat, but RGIII.

Politically correct Washington remains the only place in American where you can still talk about Redskins in polite company.

3,000 former NFL players are suing the NFL because they got hit while playing football.

And where is Curtis Painter?

But at least a gaggle of reporters aren't hanging out in Brett Favre's backyard waiting for him to unretire.

Yep, it's that time of year.  And to paraphrase the late Andy Griffith: "What it is, is football"
