Stars Fall, my legal thriller, continues to get great reader reviews on Amazon. Here's the latest:
I was greatly impressed and greatly entertained. The writing is tight,
and it doesn't try for gimmicks the way so much writing does. The
characters are believable, and the author resisted giving them
eccentricities that authors somehow think is necessary for great stories
but which usually annoy me. Dialogue is another area in which so many
writers fail, but the characters' speech was believable and natural.
Steve Terrell shows remarkable discipline as a writer. It's a great
book, and I look forward to the next one from him.

Stars Fall -- On target for e-book version
My first novel, Stars Fall, is on target for being published as an e-book by February 1. Stay tuned for further updates.*
*Well, truthfully, it's already available through a couple of online services, but I'm targeting February 1 for the roll out. By then, it should be available through most major services.

Smashwords -- Guide Well Worth Reading
Any author considering epublishing would do well to spend some time with Smashwords Guide to Publication.
This Guide is as clear and well-written as any guide I have ever read -- in fact, better. It is a step-by-step approach to taking your novel from a word processor to an e-published novel available on every major source for e-books, including Kindle, Nook & iBook.
It took me about four hours to convert my manuscript to one suitable for Smashword's "meatgrinder", that converts your document into all of the popular email formats. It takes patience. But follow the step-by-step guide, add just a touch of patience, and suddenly you have an e-book.
